Full Time / Hospitality AV Technician
5-27-2011 - Needed Immediately - Full time associate needed for resort AV department. A clean CA driver's license is required. The position is for a full time director of AV in a resort environment, good transportation a must. Position is a full time position, guaranteed 40 hours a week. A strong background with sound systems and video including but not limited to projectors, televisions, and video playback devices a must. Knowledge of Lighting, rigging and cameras a plus.
Duties: Under supervision of Production Manager, setup and strike all equipment needed for day to day resort AV operation needs. Be able to interact with clients in a positive reflection of Sky Productions. On some jobs operation of equipment might be required, Report any concerns the client may have to the Production Manager, and under his directions take steps to alleviate the clients concerns. Employee will be responsible for keeping an accurate inventory of equipment and the day to day maintenance of said equipment. Ability to lift up to 50lbs repetitively over a shift. The job may require extended periods of bending, standing, sitting, and walking. Applicant should be proficient in Microsoft Office, and have working knowledge of general clerical duties. You will be responsible for all paper work as laid out by Sky Productions. You will also be responsible for all sales at the said facility. A dress code is strictly enforced for the position. Dress code is as follows black pants or slacks, (No Jeans) and a Sky Productions Polo (We will provide) and black shoes, (tennis shoes not allowed). Employee must also maintain a well groomed appearance, including neatly groomed haircut, clean shaven (some exceptions can be made) showered, and well maintained uniform. Employee shall also be responsible for interacting with clients and up selling events. The employee is the direct face of the company with the public and as such will be required to portray Sky Productions in the best way possible. Employee will also be required to form good working relationships with the venue's own personnel. The employee must demonstrate a good knowledge of general Audio Visual Equipment typically used in the hospitality industry.

Part Time / Labor Pool: AV Technician
Due to the nature of Production, the majority of our event staffing comes from our part time labor force. Averaging 15 to 20 hours per week and with the majority of work occurring on nights and weekends, the part time AV Technician is a fundamental and crucial part of the Sky Productions Team. The Part time AV Technician is responsible for the warehousing, upkeep, setup and takedown, and operation of Sky Productions equipment. The AV technical staff regularly assists the Production Manager in executing the various technical operations and services of Sky Productions. Successful applicants must be professional in both appearance and attitude, highly motivated and punctual, comfortable and effective with large amounts of physical labor, and have an overall outstanding work ethic. Applicants with prior production and/or pro-AV equipment experience are preferred. Additionally, applicants with extensive knowledge and proficiency with some and/or all professional production elements including Pro Sound, Pro Lighting, Projection and Video, Stage, Truss & Rigging, and Professional HD Video Production will be considered highly preferred.
